After my 360 years of data research into Donchian Channels, it has been found that only 35% of trades are profitable, with a reward-to-risk ratio of 2.4:1.
Unfortunately, this results in a minimal profit expectancy of just 0.2. In practical terms, this means traders might earn only $0.20 for every dollar at risk. Given its low reward-to-risk ratio and the fact that 65% of trades result in losses, the Donchian Channel is not a dependable trading indicator.
